- Born in the 'Voodoo' capital Port-au-Prince, Haiti on (of all days) October 31, 1983. The son of National Geographic photographers on assignment. His parents left Haiti with him at the age of 3, during the increasingly tyrannical reign of Baby 'doc' Duvalier.
